Once you have passed the Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM) exams, the Research and Analysis Project (RAP) is the final component of the Oxford Brookes BSc degree. This consists of two separate documents; a 7,500 word Research Report and a 2,000 word Skills and Learning Statement. Your mark in the RAP and the Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM) exams contributes to the class of degree you can achieve.
Choosing the right topic for your Research and Analysis Project is an important element to gaining the BSc degree.
To pass the Research and Analysis Project you must pass both the Research Report and the Skills and Learning Statement. If you do not pass both components separately within the same Research and Analysis Project submission period you will be awarded a Fail grade for the Project.

You must resubmit within the 10 year limit.
You will be given one of three Pass grades (A, B or C) or a Fail grade (F) for the performance in the Research Report. You will be given either a Pass grade or a Fail grade for the performance in the Skills and Learning Statement.
If you achieve one of the three Pass grades for the Research Report and the Pass grade for the Skills and Learning Statement, then a pass in the Research and Analysis Project will be awarded. Once you have been awarded one of the three Pass grades for the Research and Analysis Project, then you cannot make any further submissions.
If you are awarded either a Fail grade in the Research Report or a Fail grade in the Skills and Learning Statement, you will be awarded a Fail grade for the Research and Analysis Project. If you are awarded a Fail grade on your first Research and Analysis Report submission you will be allowed up to two further Project submissions.
