Our history
History and prerequisites for the development of ACCA courses in “International Business Studies” Business School
All took its start in 2012. IBS was founded as a training center (for English, IELTS, ACCA, accounting, 1C accounting courses). Initially, particular attention was paid to a good and accessible international education for the population, namely to ACCA. Adoption of the Decree of the President “On Priority Directions for Further Reforming and Improving the Sustainability of the Republic's Financial and Banking System in 2011-2015 and Achieving High International Rating Indicators” (dated as of November 26, 2010, N PP-1438) played a very crucial role as in the development of this idea. In 2014, our school was the first in Uzbekistan to be granted the status of the ACCA examination center.
By 2017, IBS Business School had already been accredited as an international educational center with the status of GOLD. This status demonstrates that training at IBS meets international ACCA education standards. This accreditation was obtained with the technical support of Nematulla Karimov, Director of Grant Thornton, an audit company, and Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors in Uzbekistan. Gulyamova Dilbar (PhD) and Gulyamov Saidahror (academician), compatriots who studied and had experience working abroad, also provided their consultations on this issue. At first, very few viewed these courses would be in demand in Uzbekistan, but now it has already become clear, that these courses are very much in demand and are provided in many centers. By 2019, IBS Business School is still the only center in Uzbekistan to have obtained international accreditation of Gold status
